“…And sorrow is turned into joy before him.” Job 41:22 KJV
Hey!! I hope your day has been a beautiful one. It’s Tuesday and yesterday was full of “oh my, I can’t believe I just did that”, to laughter I didn’t think was possible.
I just couldn’t imagine our day being as fantastic as it was with my mindset. Its amazing to think back on all the times something was so down right awful and it happening caused the outcome that you love the most. I take great pleasure to just sit back and take a moment to myself to think back to a decision that wasn’t the most practical or a time where the burden was just a bit much and I wanted to give up. And then, all that struggle, all that pain, all that angst I put myself through, the added anxiety and the added worry and fret. Ahhhh, what a burden we do not need to carry. Its just so unnecessary. That bitterness or resent that it builds. What did it do to help you?

Psalm 37:7 KJV
NOTHING! A big fat nothing. Sure for a momentttt, and I mean only a moment that it felt good to complain, but my goodness. Doesn’t it feel so much better to just GIVE IT TO GOD. Ahh, you may be saying, well Hannah thats easier said than done. Well, no kidding! There is a worldly saying that rings true here. “Anything worth having isn’t going to be easy to get”. You gotta work at it! Staying in constant prayer and making your requests known to God.

Philippians 4:6 KJV
He is surely, SURELY, faithful to answer. — I have been met with obstacles that looking back now, I can just remember how impossible they were. Some I highly believe were designed to hurt me by those doing it. And you likely have a similar reflection. I mean lets just take a moment to bask in the amazing goodness that our God did. HE DID THAT!!!! He was there, he stood there at that edge with you, he saw your pain. HE FELT YOUR PAIN. He feels our pain. We were not alone, we aren’t ever alone. It’s remarkable the peace that God gives. I am so thankful for it, and when I attempt to explain it, I can’t except to say that it’s just impossibly possible! My God does what our minds cannot fathom! I’m utterly thankful for that simple yet out of this world fact! People won’t understand, those who don’t trust God. That’s okay, we are the example. The witness!

Philippians 4:7 KJV
So, that whole easier said than done is so true. But guess what! You don’t ever have to do it alone. Never ever! He’s here and He’s ready to guide you and comfort you. I am so thankful for that beautiful peace he provides when I rebuke the devil and cling to him. It does help to be steady in the Bible and I mean daily, because boy the devil comes for you the moment you put the good book down.

2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
The devil comes to destroy and he seeks you out!!! Thats why we need to be ACTIVE in our seeking of God. We need to be ACTIVE in our seeking PEACE. Otherwise the devil, the adversary will rip you up, shred you up, make you feel worthless and you cannot allow that spiritual attack to go unmet by our LORD. You have to arm yourself in the FULL ARMOR OF GOD!

John 10:10 KJV
The Spiritual Warfare is real and its dangerous! We need to prepare during the calm, so that when the storm comes we are prepared with all the scripture we need and the prayers we need and the clear conscience we need. And I could go on and on with all the things we need when the devil attacks. The main point here is that we need to be diving deep in the Word of God when things are going good, so that when all hell breaks loose, we don’t succumb to the first drop of temptation that knocks us down. We always like to think, no way would I do that. However, we can be tempted to do things that we never thought were possible and if we are not armed with the full body of armor, we could do some real damage that we never in our wildest dreams thought possible. Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings!

Matthew 7:24 KJV
Having a strong foundation of people who are consistently trying to grow closer to God is a valuable asset and a must have! We often forget that the people we surround ourselves with are the type of people we will likely lean toward becoming like. Who we are around is vitally important to growing in Christ. The Bible tells us to take our thoughts captive into the obedience of Christ. If we are around people who are talking bad about people, constant thorns in their side, always complaining about things they have no intention on evaluating and making a change to fix, argumentative and idle gossipers, – Simply by that brief outward manifestation of their inward heart condition is enough to know who you should and shouldn’t be around. Also, is a great reminder on the type of person you should refrain from being – as the type of people you will want to attract to help you grow in Christ will also heed this and stay away from those who have those unChrist like traits. The first step is to Study the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5) and seek friendships with others who have similar values and understand the importance of this in yours and their daily walk with Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV
We are all tempted to do things we ought not do. That is why we are given the opportunity to redeem the time and have true repentance for our actions with changed behavior. None of us have arrived and all pain and suffering we endure and growth spurts and trials, they all can either be a stumbling block for us to grow bitter and resentment on. Or we use these sorrows to look toward the blessings we will learn and gain from them.

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
We often will find ourselves at a fork in the road, where everything is just wrong and if we don’t stop and remember the previous sorrows we’ve faced and how Gods hand was in that, turning it into a blessing, we will miss the beginning of the blessing in itself. Some of my sorrows to blessings took years to see the blessing in it, hurting for so long, until the blessing God had for me revealed its self. Ahhhh, sweet beauty it is too. If only we could just be encouraged to know that this too shall pass, and we are a child of the King! He loves us and wants us to be comforted in Him. Seek ye first the kingdom!
